About this concert
Mood is central to the expansive musical landscape throughout Katie Kim’s releases: darkened corners, icy atmospheres and hypnotic knife-edge soundscapes. Cinematic in scope and tectonic in delivery, many have used her scores in documentaries, film and TV. With over six albums and an impressive collective of collaborators, she performs at Phizzfest with her band, drummer Ellie Myler (Percolator, Lankum) and Irish Psychedelic-Folk musician Elaine Malone.

Katie Kim Biography
Katie Kim is the pseudonym of Katie Sullivan when she performs and records her Slowcore, ethereal, ambient folk/pop. Katie Kim has released three studio albums to date: Twelve in 2008 , Cover & Flood in 2012 (UK release 2013) and SALT in 2016. She has also scored an original soundtrack for the 1928 surrealist Germain Dulac silent film, "La Coquille et Le Clergyman", commissioned by The Cork French Film Festival, which she also performed with her full band, live, in front of a sold out audience. This original score will be released later this year as part of a multi media package. She has also worked with artists such as Ed Harcourt, David Kitt, Halves and The Waterboys, who she appeared with on "Later...With Jools Holland" in 2011. . www.katiekim.bandcamp.com
