About this concert
After a pause of nearly six years, the post-punkers of Customs are back with new material! Na hun oprichting in 2008 duurde het niet lang alvorens de postpunkers van Customs zich mochten kronen tot de allereerste winnaar van Vi.be On Air, de voorloper van De Nieuwe Lichting. Daarna ging het snel: singles als ‘Rex’, ‘Justine’, ‘The Matador’ en ‘Shut Up’ vonden hun weg naar het publiek en het debuutalbum ‘Enter The Characters’ behaalde goud, wat de weg vrijmaakte naar een plek op de mainstage van onder meer Lowlands en Rock Werchter. En toen werd het stil … voor lang, maar niet voor eeuwig. Na een pauze van bijna zes jaar zijn de Leuvenaars terug! Met de catchy singles ‘New Galaxy’ en ‘Rise Again’ blijft Customs trouw aan zijn roots, maar laat de band eveneens zien dat ze de brug naar het heden weten te slaan.

PELICAN DEALER Biography
Pelican Dealer, the band formed around brothers Mats and Jasper Mulier from
Leuven, knows how to effortlessly translate nocturnal escapist atmospheres into frenetic,
piercing riffs and catchy choruses. The band is known for their vibrant and tumultuous
live shows that wake everyone up. As a highlight, they played their very first show as a
supporting act in a sold-out Ancienne Belgique. Since then, their name has been
established in the Belgian music scene. With performances opening for acts like Xink,
RHEA, and Noordkaap, and support from radio stations such as StuBru, Willy, Radio 1,
and Kink FM, they have solidified their reputation. In 2023, they were crowned Sound
Track Laureates and were featured at several festivals this summer, including
Suikerrock. Pelican Dealer released their first EP titled "Tragic Dancing" produced by
Damien Vanderhasselt (Millionaire,Sons, ILA) in early 2025. As topping of the cake
Willy (radio) picked the band as ‘De Belofte’
. The releaseshow will be played at Het
Depot w/ Sloper.
