Ro Panuganti Prog XP Biography

Ro Panuganti Prog XP (or Prog Experience) is a progressive metal supergroup performing heavy modern-metal and classic prog-influenced soundtracks, led by guitarist/producer Ro Panuganti (Nitro Gen Omega, Bread & Fred), as well as bombastic VFX-fueled music videos on Youtube celebrating games/anime/movies and collaborating with different game studios. The Prog XP band has performed at MAGFest Mainstage in National Harbor, MD, Ongakuvania in Orlando, FL, and features synchronized visuals, covers, and original metal music.

Joining the performance are Colbydude (RPPE, Armature) on guitar, Evan Berge (Armature) on drums, and Max Sandler on bass for a stacked line-up and an evening of singalong anthems, outrageous shred, and dazzling visuals.

Ro has performed live at Super MAGFest, VGMcon, Brew Game Plus, and other music festivals with his band, the Ro Panuganti Prog Experience! With signature dazzling visuals and eclectic rock and metal arrangements, their live show brings the energy of music videos and studios directly to the audience. You can often hear him give advice on music production, video game cover remixes, and collaborating in panels as well.

Online, Ro is a very active presence and frequently performs livestream concerts for events like VGMTogether, Ongaku Overdrive, and Zeldathon. Additionally, he has produced even more music through his collaborative work with the VGM community and groups like GameLark, GameGrooves, and Pixel Mixers.

Ro has also left a large visual impression—as an editor/videographer, he has lent his services to many musicians in game audio, and continuously pushes the envelope of what a music video can be. Ro’s passion has always lied with bombastic electric guitar work and visually exciting music videos.
