THE BURL BENEFIT Besides being a huge music fan and a supporter of many local bands and clubs, Burl Gilyard is also a longtime Twin Cities writer going back to the Minnesota Daily and the Twin Cities Reader. These days he writes for the Star Tribune’s Business section. But since last fall, a series of medical issues have set him back and kept him off the job. Now Trailer Trash, ElnO and Mystery Band (TBA) are pitching in to help offset ongoing medical expenses that he and his wife Nicole are experiencing.
