The Bottomless Biography
Forged from the smoldering flames of an alliance between the enigmatic, brooding Winry Ember (vocals, synth, guitar and cello) and the hyperkinetic, electrifying AJ “The Rock” Johnson (vocals and guitar), we defy time and space. More prosaic souls would say we formed in 2017 and are based in Austin, Texas.
In our riotous wanderings through the musical universe, we’ve shaken hands with Elvis, frolicked with Mozart and sojourned with Tupac to his Puerto Rican bungalow, bridging the East and the West for one majestical night. Progressive punk is the perfect vehicle for what we love: getting crazy about serious stuff with a message that can only be conveyed in pentatonic polyrhythms. If you require modern comparisons, our influences include System of a Down, Fall of Troy, and M80.
We’re currently collaborating with the infamous Legion of Doom to release our new album in the spring of 2018. Our music rings with the full-throated roar of battle hymns from a thousand galactic armies. These are jams that will make you say, “Honey, where’s my super suit?” Look for us on your favorite social media platform. The best way to contact us utilizing terrestrial communication methods* is through winryember at atxmusic dot rocks.
