Psykup will celebrate their 30 years of existence in 2025. They earned today the status of mythical figure in the alternative landscape, with 4 albums, an acoustic EP and two Live DVD’s. Out of fashion, out of the norm, the band has always been iconoclastic, shooting clichés down with humour, coolness and determination. It marked several generations, gathering at the same table Primus and Pantera, Strapping Young Lad and Alice In Chains.
Psykup toured successfully from 2017 to 2019, assaulting prestigious festivals as Les Eurockéennes de Belfort, The Download Festival France and a full crowded Hellfest supporting their infectious madness.

6th album that marks the 30th anniversary of the band, The Joke Of Tomorrow is an invitation to resilience, to accept failure, disappointment, loss, suffering, death, without losing a humorous vision essential to survival. Each new ordeal that life imposes on us can be an empirical springboard that helps us to bounce and positively move on. Psykup is coming back here to the mere essence of its name : psyche up, always. This new album is a summary of Psykup’s touch : convulsive aggressiveness, elaborated melodies and uninhibited shaker that never hesitates to mix hardcore, jazz, death metal, funk, thrash and pop, all parts of an explosive trip flirting with madness.
