ABBA ZABBA is an event series curated by (((folkYEAH!))) of unique nights of rhythm, reverb, and raw energy. On September 12 they bring Abba Zabba to Oakland where legendary dub pioneer Scientist will be live-mixing and layering his iconic sound into the sets of Mild Universe and Naked Roommate, transforming them in real time. Headlining the night is ESG! Come dance and enjoy the funk, the groove, and the legacy that rounds out this genre-bending bill with timeless energy. Scientist Biography
There are more than one artists with this name.
1) Scientist, born Overton Browne in Kingston, Jamaica, 1960 (and also known as Hopeton Browne), was a protégé of King Tubby, one of the originators of dub music. He came to prominence in the early 1980s and produced many albums during the first half of the decade.
2) A well known hungarian band. They play mixture of drum and bass, jazz, funk, and many other styles. Their lyrics are highly dadaist. They're also known as 'Tudósok' (which means the bands name in hungarian.).
3) The Scientist is an alias for Phivos Sebastiane also known as Pure Science
