Ava McCoy

Indie folk rock singer-songwriter Ava McCoy is a native New Yorker, the only member of her Oregon-based family to be raised in the sprawling metropolis. Growing up with a family of professional musicians and lush forest landscapes, Ava was writing songs from an early age.

At 24, she has independently released multiple singles, an album, and most recently an EP with Acrophase Records. “Closer to the Bugs" captured the ears of many, solidifying her name as someone to watch in the indie folk scene.

Her sophomore album, “Dragonfly”, set to release in 2025, is a collection of love letters to young adulthood. Stories of her first solo journey abroad, singing along to classic Americana CD’s in the back of her family’s car, and the ever-evolving journey of finding love both internally and externally are explored. Through her work Ava continues to verbalize so much of what we are afraid of- the fear of being wrong, of loving too hard, and leaving anything unsaid.
