About this concert
Formed in 2013 by Darren Fletcher (Paul Weller) and Steve Hayes (Mick Talbot), The Style Councillors have quickly built a loyal fanbase for the group which was Paul Weller’s home for the majority of the 1980’s and where he wrote some of his finest songs. Dani Clay (Dee C. Lee) and Craig Read (Steve White) are joined by the Bad Manners Horn Section and a stellar line up of musicians hell-bent on recreating the sound of The Style Council. After the dissolution of The Jam in 1982, Paul Weller joined forces with Mick Talbot, formerly of The Merton Parkas, Dexys Midnight Runners and The Bureau, to form The Style Council. The band released a string of succesful singles between 1983-1989 such as Speak Like a Child, Money-Go-Round, Long Hot Summer, My Ever Changing Moods, You’re The Best Thing, Shout To The Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down, A Solid Bond In Your Heart, Come To Milton Keynes, The Lodgers, Why I Went Missing, and more.

The Style Councillors Biography
The world's only tribute to the mighty Style Council, a full 10 piece lineup replicating the very best from probably the best pop group in the world!
The Style Councillors are the ultimate tribute to The Style Council.
With Swirling Hammond Organ and a classic horn section, The Style Councillors are as close as it gets to actually being there.
They will take you right back to the beginning for a trip through one of Paul Weller's arguably best periods as a songwriter.
Formed in Brentwood, Essex in late 2013 by long time PW fans Darren and Steve after a random social media post asked ‘why are there no Style Council tribute acts around?’
The band quickly recruited Rob and Craig on Bass guitar and Drums respectively they set about putting the show together before bringing in Helen on vocals and Keith on Keyboards. In late 2015, Rob and Helen left the band and Alex and Dani came on board In 2016, the band were joined buy percussionist Dan Mullins, to add an extra dimension the the band.
Once the set was finalised the band line-up was completed by the addition of ex Bad Manners brass section Trevor, Tony & Dave
In a relatively short space of time a sizable and loyal following formed with the band playing to full houses up and down the country – notably including London’s 100 club and The Jazz Café.
The word spread to the extent that notable faces seen at recent shows have included Nicky Weller, Steve Parish, Gary Crowley, ex Style Council members Steve Sidelnyk, Anthony Harty & Tracie Young, Iain Munn – Author of TSC’s Biography ‘Mr Cools Dream’ & Chris Watson of the Moons, all of whom are massive Style Council fans.
