The Wallflowers

This is one of those rare concerts where I loved the opening act more than the band I came to see. The Wild Feathers was breathtakingly great, but The Wallflowers was just okay. The band did great, the space is one of my favorites, but watching the lead singer flirt and wink and seduce the first three rows of women was an odd experience that made me feel strange, especially as one of the women he shared his attention with… plus, the pacing and timing of the songs I loved and came to hear felt stilted or overly done. I understand changing old songs to refresh them, but this sounded more like the main singer no longer being able to hit the same notes and soul crushing beauty. I don’t believe I’ll ever spend the money to see The Wallflowers again, but I’ll see any show The Wild Feathers do! I’m thrilled to have found a new band who not only rocked, but took the time after the show to hang out with the crowd and talk with them and just be so amazingly kind!

What a great show!! The opener was amazing and The Wallflowers just killed it. I have seen them so many times and this was the best yet. Can't wait to see them again in August when they come back to Iowa!! Hoping From the Bottom of My Heart makes the cut for the setlist. Fingers crossed!🫠🫠🫠

Both Jesse Malin and The Wallflowers were incredible! ~ Stellar performances ~ But the sound system couldn’t handle The Wallflowers and I ran into more than several people that walked out before The Wallflowers finished~ They all said they couldn’t understand what Jakob was singing ~ Pity the venue doesn’t invest … sad indeed

A special evening at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara was indeed the vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience there ! The people who ran the event were extremely pleasant, the Neil Young cover band Ragged Glory, was exceptional and THE WALLFLOWERS did what they do best . . . . . Rock and Roll ! 🤘 We love Jakob and his band and have been followers ever since their beginning in 1989. It was a great production and many thanks for all the great hospitality that The Wallflowers bestowed upon us. ♥️ Thank you ! Denise and Tim

Had such a beautiful time last night. Saw the Wallflowers about 20 years ago... I was wasted so I don't really remember where. Saw them last night sober (it'll be 10 months on Wednesday:). Jake's still got it and it was so nice to hear a little of his dad in his voice.That's for letting us dance, thanks for letting me sing at the top of my lungs, thank you for singing directly to that girl in the front. I can't imagine how much that meant to her. And me. Love u guys. The show was absolutely amazing ❣️

Jakob & the band rocked the house!! What an amazing performance in a small venue with a great crowd. It'd been years since I've seen The Walflowers and they've only gotten better with age!! PS: The opening act Stereo Ranger did a great opening act as an acoustic duo set...

This is a great show. Dylan really relates to their audience in a personal way that was refreshing. They hit it out of the park musically as well. I would go see them again tomorrow if I could. The Mt Baker Theater is amazing as well and their staff should be commended. All I met were very friendly and helpful.

One of the best shows that I have ever attended. Alot of talent, and they did some covers that were great. Best of all, we got to meet Jakob Dylan after the show. Such a class act, and true musician. I so appreciate the time he too to just chat about the music. Awesome!

Will Dailey, the opening act, was a great addition to the show. He was really good, songwriter and musician. A mesmerizing singer too. The Wallflowers were everything I needed them to be for my first time seeing live. Jakob was so laid back, so interactive with the audience and his voice is so solid. The band are all individually dynamic and as a group are pretty flawless. I am so glad I FINALLY just bought the ticket!

It was great. I loved it. But I didn't get there until around 11pm and then it was just about over. So I really enjoyed seeing Jakob and the band. But I had VIP tickets so I missed everything and my girlfriend then made us so late it was like 3+ hours one way and then I had to drive back. But I love the Wallflowers and they were great. All I really wanted was to meet him and get a few pictures. But it was all my fault and I'm too old to try and see them again. But they were awesome and I don't regret missing the whole show. But I only wanted a picture with Jakob and to see the show. I'd like to see them come to Lexington KY

Electric!! The band was in sync and Jakob charmed the audience with his vocals and flirty chatter. All the fun of Exit Wounds and an energized One Headlight made for the perfect set list. Encore with straight Charlie T (T petty) was a justified tribute. Thanks for lighting up Detroit 💕

The show was awesome, as usual, as Jakob Dylan is one outstanding performer, and has a great band. They did a lot of their old stuff. Didn't do my two favorites: Sleepwalker and Confessions of a Drunken Marionette, but the show more than made up for it. Not one, but two encores. The venue was really nice, but sat in a row where people kept getting up and coming back. There were a couple that that is all they did all night. That was the only bad part of the night. I though people went to see a concert, went to sit and enjoy the show. These people were there to drink and pee. I thought that is what bars were for. Loved the show, but not impressed with the venue.

Excellent show. Smaller, intimate venue that allowed Jakob and the band to interact with the audience. Jakob even overruled the Security who were forcing fans to quit taking pictures or recording, inviting everyone to do so and even to come up to and crowd the stage.

There was no better way to have an amazing evening. There was a killer full moon in the sky, the weather was perfect, then the night blossomed into perfection with The Wallflowers hitting the stage. A fantastic mix of the old and new music that we all love, it was the best night. I personally enjoyed each musicians unsurpassed talent to bring down the house. The Sagebrush Cantina is a terrific place to enjoy some tunes being so open, yet very intimate. A huge high five, thumbs up and big smiles from me!! Tbone

The Wallflowers were the first band I ever loved; my first concert at age 16. Now I'm 40 and have seen them numerous times: they only get better! Their music is the soundtrack to my life. Jakob Dylan is so fun to watch live; he really interacts with the audience and makes sure that everyone has a great time! If you have a chance to experience The Wallflowers live, do it!

The Wallflowers did not disappoint. Jakob was super sassy that evening. Joking with the crowd and attentive to the young kids that parents brought which was very sweet. The Wallflowers bring together people of all ages which is nice. Great to hear them play a few Tom Petty songs. All in all a great show at a fun venue.

This was my 3rd time seeing The Wallflowers in concert & it was another great show. I was glad to hear them play The Passenger & Hand Me Down since I hadn't heard them played live before. While I was hoping to hear more of their older music, I still thoroughly enjoyed the show & will definitely go see them again someday

Outstanding performance by Jake Dylan and The Wallflowers at the State Theatre, Portland, Maine. Wow, Jake Dylan was great talking with the fans and played until almost midnight. Thank you so much 😊 for playing my favorite song How good it can get. I have been to many concerts such as Tom Petty (4 times) and this concert from The Wallflowers is one of the best I have been. Great. It was supposed to be outside but they had to move it inside due to inclement weather. People, put your cell phones away and enjoy the concert. Think about the people behind you that can not see when you stick your phone up above your head to record video. Very rude and thoughtless.
