THE BLOOM Biography
The Bloom is a three piece indie rock band out based of East London. Formed in 2014 the band came about when after years of traveling and writing music, singer and guitarist Luke Kordyl relocated from Western Australia to the U.K. looking to turn his experiences into something tangible.
The band's music appeals to people who love a little pop with their rock but which digs a little deeper and aims to get under your skin. Sunny, feel good emotions are counter-balanced by a darker undertone. Strong songwriting and meaningful lyrics are at the heart of all of The Bloom’s songs.
Of his compositions Luke says, ‘I just wanted to make music that’s easy to listen and move to and is entertaining but has a serious lyrical side as well. Traveling for as long as i did really opened my eyes to what was going on around me and that every little scenario you find yourself in can be worthy of a story. That’s what i think my songs are. Short stories set to music'
The Bloom’s debut single, How It Starts was released in early 2015 reaching over 100,000 listens on Spotify to date.
