Joey Stylez Biography
Joey Stylez is an award winning singer-songwriter, rapper, Indigenous activist, visual artist and fashion designer, hailing from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Winner of the 2017 Indigenous Music Awards “Best Rap/Hip Hop Album”, Joey continues success by charting with his recent Single/Music Video “Save Your Soul” featuring Blackkiss on NCI FM Indigenous Music Countdown. A true nomad, JStylez has been touring across North America with his multi-genre talents performing Nation-wide with high energy and interactive performances that keep audiences capitvated and empowered through lyrics and beats unlike no other. Stylez critically acclaimed project “#GREYMAGIC” emphasized the social, political and economic struggle that young Indigenous men face such as violence, addiction and gang culture. Joey continues to perform in isolated First Nations reserves, working to empower and educate youth. In 2017 Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) featured JStylez on REEL INSIGHTS “JOEY STYLEZ: NO GIMMICKS” a Documentary from troubled Cree kid on the streets of Saskatoon to hip hop/rap sensation, a path to stardom most can only dream of.
