Went to see Ike Willis in a Zappa cover band and discovered Marquis.. After hearing his talent & level of experience I'm embarrassed to say I've never heard of him before !! What is wrong with me !? Em I getting that old & out of touch with the time's ?? 😆 Not anymore ! Met the man, gave him a fist bump & told him he'd be seeing more of me..and I wasn't kidding !! The guy is AMAZING !!

Marcus Rezak Biography
Marcus Rezak is a dynamic guitarist and vocalist known for fusing blues roots with jam-driven improvisation and songwriting. His latest album Guitar Head, produced by GRAMMY-winner Paul Nelson and released via Deko Entertainment/ADA-Warner, showcases a bold new direction—melding Chicago blues with modern psychedelia and funk. The record features top-tier players including Ray Paczkowski (TAB), Adrian Tramontano (Twiddle), Chris DeAngelis (Kung Fu), and Erik Lawrence (Little Feat).
Rezak’s recent highlights include performances with Blues Traveler, LP Giobbi, DJ Logic, G. Love, and a high-energy set at Brooklyn Bowl supporting Dumpstaphunk. His live shows, musical vision, and collaborative spirit continue to make him a standout force on stage and in the studio.
“Marcus is a force to be reckoned with… this album showcases his diversity and amazing talent.”
— Paul Nelson (GRAMMY-winning producer/guitarist)
As a guitar instructor, he built his own freelance clientele, teaching primarily Jazz students, but also having no limitations to this as well. Marcus Rezak has a B.M. from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a M.M. degree in Jazz Composition from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
"The story of Marcus Rezak is not one for those who don’t believe in fated occurrences or natural affinity. It is not for those who don’t believe that passion should forcefully direct the flow of one’s life. It is, however, a tale for seekers ready to leave misgivings at the door and allow music’s sway to settle in their minds like a rich fog. In music, we find truth. Within music’s truth, we find the sounds of Marcus Rezak."
