SONIC WHIP Biography
BANDBIO SONIC WHIP
SONIC WHIP is a Dutch alternative rock band formed in late 2018 by brothers Meryn and Florian Bevelander.
In May 2022, bassist Kevin Clerence joined the band.
Dancing rock riffs taken on drag chain by a thumping and air-shifting rhythm section.
This young trio talent will take you by your earlobe and won't leave you unscathed with their tight rock songs.
Experience the supersonic whiplash for yourself. You need it.
‘The combination of heavy riffs and polyphonic lead vocals seems to give away that Alice In Chains is SONIC WHIP's biggest influence.
But because the overall sound is considerably more upbeat and quirky stoner riffs reminiscent of Queens Of The Stone Age pop up regularly, SONIC WHIP still has a completely distinctive look.’ In 2024, they crossed the North Sea for the first time to tour the UK.
