The 85's!

The 85’s are a “Totally Rad” dance party band performing high energy and “true to the original” renditions of classic pop and rock songs from the 80’s!

Since forming the group in 2005 the band has been entertaining audiences at major clubs, private events and outdoor festivals with their myriad of classic songs from the 80’s era from artists such as: The Clash, Devo, English Beat, Eurythmics, The Fixx, Madonna, The Police, Pretenders, Journey, and Prince!

The band was formed by Marin County musicians; Adam “Bagel” Berkowitz-Drums/vocals and Monroe Grisman - Guitar/vocals, both of whom graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1985 and have performed with some of the North Bay’s favorite bands over the past 20 years as current or former members of: Petty Theft, AZ/DZ, About Face, American Drag, Jerry Hannan and Noelle Hampton. The band also features the superb lead vocal talent of April Grisman who has worked with Eric Martin, Clarence Clemons, Irene Cara & Y&T. New to The 85’s but not the Bay Area music scene are Steven Seydler on keyboards who is also a member of Petty Theft and has toured with platinum recording artist Jorge Ferreira and the Grammy award winning group Tavares and now with Joey DiBono on bass from Illeagles and AZ/DZ.

The 85’s always put on a high-energy show packed with an amazing and unique selection of classic 80’s songs and hits sure to get you out of your seat and on your feet to the dance floor. No doubt about it, The 85’s shows are a guaranteed FUN time. Don’t miss the “PAR-TAY”!
