KURA

K.U.R.A is the Techno-only project of Valeria Di Sabato. From a young age, K.U.R.A's fascination with the sounds around them ignited a lifelong passion for creating hypnotic electronic soundscapes. At 15, they fell in love with Tekno attending the first raves in Palermo. Their journey into the realm of music began as sound designer, studying the connection and interaction between sound and space. They have collaborated with Berlin's Errant Sound space and (T)Raum, a space dedicated to sound art.
In 2020, K.U.R.A's audiovisual exploration "Agnus Dei_beyond the faith" received recognition when it was selected as the featured work at the Vienna Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art streaming conference, held at the Vienna University of the Arts. This recognition highlights K.U.R.A's unique ability to transcend traditional art forms, captivating audiences with its innovative approach.
The 2021 debut EP, "I'm Not (In) My Body Anymore," was released with the ALVAX SOUND project in collaboration with the renowned Italian label Pitch The Noise. They recently performed at the Sys festival in Palermo, played for the Yard44 collective and at Zo in Catania with Fluidae.
