Scorcher Biography
Scorcher's ability to deliver hard hitting lyrics with witty word play was showcased with tracks such as the thought provoking ‘Chance Us’, the emotional ‘My Diary’ and the underground anthem ‘Do Me a Favour’. The cd takes you on an intense journey into the life and times of scorcher (present/past) and his thoughts and views (good and bad).
His influence over the UK underground scene gained the attention of MTV, and resulted with his involvement in their black history month campaign. The artist gave recognition to the great black british sports personalities of our country with ease.
Although well known for his battling with the scene's elite and his large involvement in Logan Sama's War Report, Scorcher continues to diversify himself as an artist. Scorcher has also taken the same approach to his production with his ‘Indie-rock and thunder’ styled music.
After an incident with fellow Cold Blooded member Cookie, Scorcher left Cold Blooded to concentrate on a new collective known as The Movement, which featured Scorcher alongside Wretch 32, Mercston, Ghetto and Devlin. At this point he was involved in a momentous clash that saw him and fellow movement members go up against rival grime collective Boy Better Know. Scorcher did 3 dubs directed at Wiley, Jammer and Frisco.
Scorcher also produces beats, and Thunder Power was a release that was made up of entirely his own production. He has produced beats such as 'Way Down The Road', 'Beef with T', 'Igloo Remix', 'Talk of the Ghetto' and others which have been big through the year of 2006.
