Thomas Gold Biography
A household name in dance music with astronomical streaming numbers, an illustrious reputation for being the king of remixes, and a decade’s worth of hits in his music catalogue, Thomas Gold is a producer who’s been highly regarded in the scene since his grand entrance in 2009 - and it’s only been an upward trajectory since then. Gold’s undisputed hits and devoted fan base have been the catalyst to the producer's domination, landing him performances at festival mainstages including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, Mysteryland, Tomorrowland and many more.
The legendary German producer continues to blast through the electronic music scene this year with his newest radio masterpiece “Gold'" on Armada Music, as well as another progressive banger called “Wildest Dream” on Nicky Romero’s Protocol imprint. Thomas also just wrapped up a stunning remix for Hardwell´s latest single feat. Snoop Dogg “How You Love Me.” 2019 also brings Thomas` first major release on Universal Music, out early summer. These releases follow a massive 2018 which was home to Gold’s stellar remix of Nicky Romero’s “Rise.”
A testament to his constant evolution and growth, last year, Gold revealed a new tech house side project, AU-1, and shared with fans the first single under the new alias: “Oh Yo Bah”. The project was created as a return to the original sounds of Gold’s tech house roots. AU-1 has thus far aligned itself with Mark Knight’s imprint Toolroom, the legendary Strictly Rhythm and CR2; with additional singles slated to be released within the upcoming months.
Throughout his career, Thomas Gold has released on reputable labels including Axtone, Armada, Revealed Records, Protocol, Spinnin’ and Steve Angello’s Size. The producer has an undeniable penchant for remixes, most prominently displayed in his remix of Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain” - which was a YouTube record breaker and stood as the jewel in a remix crown of pop stars and peers. His progressive sound, perfectly situated for global explosion, saw him rise to the upper echelons of global electronic superstar DJs.
With enormous tracks in the pipeline, 2019 is moving at a rapid rate for Thomas Gold and there is no slowing down anytime soon.
