Banyan Tree's ‘Splendor of Masters’ showcases a bouquet of maestros from the world of Indian Classical Music. In its 13th Edition this year, the festival features a line-up of three exceptional musical minds - each bringing forth their unique artistic flair and genius for Mumbai’s audiences. These inlcude instrumental performances by Rakesh Chaurasia and Rahul Shivkumar Sharma, before culminating with a vocal recital by the legendary Hariharan. This grand evening is a celebration of music dedicated to raising funds towards Naadlok - an Artist Community Centre being developed in Jambhulpada, around 100kms away from Mumbai, under the aegis of Meri Kala Meri Pehchaan - an initiative under Banyan Tree’s non-profit organisation - Tender Roots Academy of Performing Arts. This Community Centre is being built with the intention to create a space dedicated to Performance, Programming and Research and Development relating to the performing arts across genres, as also to facilitate cross-cultural creative exchanges and collaboration within the artist community.
