Whiskey Biography
Emerging from our nation’s capital, better known as the Middle East/The D.M.V., Whiskey utilizes intelligent lyrics, hard-hitting production and a wicked voice to stir up a gumbo of universal sounds with a twist of the old Wild West.
This native of Northern Virginia, also known as Joe ‘Nat’ Turner or Too (Tooley), began his musical career at the age of 11 as a drummer. With a wide, unique range of influences such as Lalo Schifrin, Ennio Morricone and Quincy Jones to Rakim, King Sun, Scarface and MC Eight; Mr. Turner began to produce and write his own influential future at age 15. Because of his voice and ‘cowboy’ habits, the alias ‘Whiskey’ was given and he quickly began to live up to name. An outlaw, songwriter, producer and artist, Whiskey brings a uniqueness to an otherwise saturated Hip-Hop industry.
This tall drink of water has tried and true stage presence; conquering the wooden platform from San Diego to West Palm Beach. Whiskey has blessed the microphone at everything from university fashion shows at George Mason, George Washington, Marymount and American University to full capacity, nationally known club venues such as State of Union, The Edge and The Volt in Washington, DC.
