DeVicious Biography

Red Alert!
With their new album “Code Red” the German Hard Rock act DEVICIOUS from Karlsruhe, Germany starts a new chapter. Founded back in 2017 they now release their 5th album in five years. After some sound experiments on the previous album “Black Heart”, they now go back to their roots, to do what they do best. Big Arena melodies combined with bombastic choir arrangements and a big production. The album was produced by the bandleader and songwriter Alex Frey himself and mixed & mastered in the Mastersound Entertainment Studios in Steinheim, Germany by sound guru Alexander Krull who is very well known for his work with DORO, LEAVE’S EYES, ATROCITY, ZAR and many more.
The new chapter of DEVICIOUS also features a new singer. Antonio Calanna left the band after the last album on a friendly basis to concentrate on some other projects. His replacement is none other than the former TNT singer Baol Bardot Bulsara, who was already singing some backing vocals on the “Black Heart” album and was aboard for some Black Heart headliner shows. With Baol the band is more flexible since he has a wider range and can sing anything from melodic ballads to Power Metal tunes. With “Code Red” the band delivered their most powerful and mature work to date. A masterpiece which totally proves DEVICIOUS in the top league of melodic Hard Rock. Since the pandemic did not allow them to tour on the “Black Heart” album the big way, the band is willing to do this on an excessive way in 2023.
