Mike

Well this was one of the best shows I’ve ever played in.
The crowd was so so tuned into everything Curtis and I were doing, mistakes and all!
Man we had fun and the Velvet Olive was as filled to the brim with incredible people just having a really great time and so respectful as an audience.
Hearing them sing along to my songs was beautiful. Clearwater a thing folks and we will be back!

Mike Szabo Biography
Early in 2017, after a lifetime of playing great cover songs around Alberta campfires and with no songs of his own, Mike Szabo stepped onto a stage at an open mic and sang a Jackson Browne song.
There was, to say the least, a spark.
Shortly after, things really caught fire when Mike saw his first ever songwriters round.
Now, Mikes catalog of more than 100 original songs are starting to make their way out into the world.
Mike is often compared to some of his all time greatest influences and he treats those comparisons with reverence.
"I was inspired to write songs by the greatest songwriters that ever lived," says Mike. Some of my very best friends have been Jackson Browne, John Prine, Harry Chapin, Valdy and Gordon Lightfoot to name but a few.
It is Mikes fondest wish that one day, you will sing one of his songs around your campfire.
He's smiling now just thinking about it.
