Pieced together with emotional rawness and a delicate love for detail, JODOQ’s unpredictable yet unmistakable style blends gritty synthesizers, intimate vocal passages, and intricate beats with dreamy string arrangements, rumbling saxophones, and vibrant soundscapes. Their music echoes the genre-defying artistry of James Blake, Bon Iver, Sigur Rós, Woodkid, and Son Lux, stretching the boundaries of pop to its limits.

After winning the Demotape Clinic Award for Best Pop Song in 2021 with their debut single Hunch, JODOQ evolved from a solo project into a five-piece band formed by graduates of the Zurich University of the Arts. In their self-defined genre of Cinematic Dark Pop, they tell deeply personal stories on their upcoming EP Polaroid Palace (2025), capturing the painful yet beautifully intricate nature of being human.
