About Katie Wallace
Katie Wallace, a Texas-based singer, songwriter and musician; embodies the essence of old country nostalgia, drawing inspiration from legends like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette. Her debut country single "In The Morning" premiered on the Spotify editorial playlist “New Music Friday Country” and dove her head first into the country music scene.
Her songwriting prowess gained recognition when she penned tracks for Grammy-nominated artist Kadebostany and her pop band Foxy & The Hares. This earned Katie features in Vogue Italia and placements for her songs in popular TV shows such as MTV's Catfish, Teen Mom, Project Runway, and the film Game Of Love.
In 2024, Katie was announced the winner of the Hoobastank “The Reason” cover contest hosted by Cover Nation and Warner Music. She left the band blown away with her somber and original take on their hit song and it gained her first place in the competition.
Alongside her husband and partner of 12 years, Coleby Arnett, together they write and record all her music in a self-built recording studio next to their tiny home. They tour throughout Texas with Coleby accompanying her on the pedal steel, brother in law Dalton Arnett on the drums, and good friend and former co-worker at Guitar Center, Chandler Apel on the bass. Katie Wallace stands as a testament to the rich musical heritage of Texas, weaving tales of love, life, and the timeless spirit of country music.
