Afterpartees is het vrolijkste powerpopexportproduct uit het zonnige Limburg. Met hun energieke, poppy en melodieuze sound – ergens tussen Blondie, Parquet Courts en Jonathan Richman in – stonden ze al op Pinkpop, Lowlands en Best Kept Secret. Na twaalf jaar en drie albums viert Afterpartees in 2025 hun 12,5-jarig bestaan met de in delen verschijnende ep Higher Places (de titeltrack is er al). Intussen wordt Afterpartees door vrienden en vijanden nog steeds bestempeld als de leukste liveband van het land. Of zoals Zanger Niek zegt: ‘We doen altijd ons best, anders hoef je niet te klappen!’

AFTERPARTEES Biography
Afterpartees are a band from Horst, the Netherlands. Five brothers enthusiastically making guitar pop in the grand tradition of acts like Iggy Pop, The Strokes, Jonathan Richman and Blondie.
One of the best live bands from the lowlands, according to the singer at least, a show from Afterpartees is guaranteed to never be boring. They played big stages on Pinkpop, Best Kept Secret, Lowlands and Into The Great Wide Open.
Their third album ‘Family Names’ - out on AT EASE - is an ode to togetherness, friends and deviled eggs. Recorded in a mysterious horse stable in the dark woods of Horst, this record is an 80's power pop inspired romp of a record filled with catchy riffs, suffused with the Limburgian sand soil on which it was produced.
