Lorenzo Buffa

Lorenzo was born in Biella, a small city in the north of Italy surrounded by vineyards and mountains. Growing up, he would be exposed to the Nocturnes of Chopin his uncle would play for him on the piano and he would be enchanted by the sounds of choirs his mother Elena was part of. At the age of 13 he began playing electric bass, to then pick up the double bass at 17. After Highschool Lorenzo first moved to Milan, then to Amsterdam to pursue his jazz studies. There he got his Master's degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The research for beauty and depth in music would bring him to space from Jazz to Electronic music. Lorenzo is now actively performing with his Jazz Quintet, as well as exploring a more indie and electronic music based project with his alter ego IAMLRNZ.
