Het Turkse goth-duo She Past Away maakt postpunk en darkwave die je direct mee terugneemt naar de hoogtijdagen van bands als The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus en Joy Division. Ook als je geen Turks verstaat, voel je meteen aan waar hun teksten over gaan: existentiële angsten, levensfilosofische kwesties en nihilisme. She Past Away’s meest recente studioalbum, Disko Anksiyete, dateert alweer uit 2019, maar gelukkig zijn er tekenen van leven: eind 2024 verschenen de nieuwe singles İnziva en Ölüm Günüm, die laatste een zeer ge(s)laagde samenwerking met hun landgenoten van Ductape!
