DJ, producer and label boss Prunk is working at his own pace, but this certainly doesn’t mean he’s taking things slow. His label PIV, founded in 2015, has grown to become a behemoth within today’s house landscape, with the Dutchman and the label’s crew of family members continually pushing sounds and setting trends which many are now attempting to follow. Alongside featuring as head honcho of the label and collective, Prunk has toured the world for over a decade with appearances from Brazil to Indonesia, while releasing across a host of leading imprints. An artist known to many as a key figure within his sound, yet still on the rise, Prunk has found the perfect way to remain at the forefront of proceedings, and that’s by doing things his way together with like-minded people he loves working with.
This attitude and approach, coupled with a growing trademark sound and undeniable talent within the booth, soon landed the Dutchman residencies with STRAF_WERK and DGTL. And yet, sets amongst the world’s leading festivals don’t stop there with regular appearances at the likes of Awakenings, We Are FSTVL and Amsterdam Open Air, through to invitations from leading crews across the globe, including KEY Producciones in Uruguay and S.A.S.H. in Sydney, Australia.
Showcasing his own take on house music, delivering classic influenced cuts with a fresh, modern approach, Prunk’s stand out solo and collaborative material has seen releases via the likes of Djebali, Key Records, Ewax and of course PIV -plus remixes for the likes of Darius Syrossian on MOXY MUZIK and DeMarzo on Pusher.
PIV represents a cornerstone of Prunk’s evolution and growth, with the imprint firmly at the heart of today’s ever-evolving house scene while featuring as one of Beatport’s best-selling labels. Alongside previous A&R and regular sparring partner Chris Stussy and latest A&R M-High, PIV serves as an industry leader for quality cuts from both established and emerging names, with releases from Todd Terry, Sidney Charles, Jaden Thompson, ANOTR, Fabe and Toman alongside label regulars in Aron Volta, DeMarzo and DJOKO. The label is also home to a host of Prunk’s biggest records, including ‘The Bang’, ‘Office Gossip’ and ‘Bocado’ alongside Volta, and is a musical representation of Prunk’s influences and ongoing evolution.
Not just a label, but an established and globally renowned brand and event series, PIV’s expansion has also welcomed sold-out showcases around the globe at leading institutions and festivals such as fabric (London), Elrow (Barcelona), Shelter (Amsterdam), The Ark and The BPM Festival, with a host of label nights still to be announced.
And yet, with all of these appearances and shows already in the diary and with PIV’s surging rise already set in motion, Prunk’s ceiling only looks set to elevate further as he establishes himself as a leading talent amongst the new house generation.

Prunk Biography
DJ/producer Prunk is working at his own pace, but this doesn’t mean he’s taking things slow. His label PIV, which he started in 2015, has been steadily releasing EP’s, like his own production ‘Sexy Brasil’ that was released on the imprint in the spring of 2016. Together with his sparring partner Chris Stussy, Prunk released the ‘Material’ EP on EWax in the winter of 2016 and the two also released ‘The Machine’ EP that came out on the notorious Nervous Records and EP’s on Moulton and Innercity Records. These EP’s caught the attention of vocalist Alex Mills, who you can hear on Miguel Campbell’s hit Something Special. Prunk and Mills hooked up in the studio with No Cure as a result. Other labels Prunk has released records on are: Electronique, City Soul and King Street. Next to producing Prunk is a resident dj for Straf_Werk, he is a regular at DGTL Jenja (Bali) and has played in Monaco, Barcelona, Zürich, Lille, São Paulo, Ibiza and at Awakenings Festival. His warm and sexy, but always dancefloor orientated and uplifting sound that finds its influences in artists like Kerri Chandler, Djebali, Mark Farina and Mr Ks is definitely attracting attention from promoters. After editions at Chicago Social Club and De Marktkantine Prunk’s PIV Label night has moved to Amsterdam’s freshest club Claire and already had an impressive first edition in April. Prunk will also host a PIV stage at The Ark, a cruise that will take-off from Barcelona sets sail to Ibiza. In 2017 you can see Prunk play at the following festivals: Labyrinth Open in Croatia, DGTL Barcelona, Welcome to the Future, Straf_werk festival, Dockyard, Amsterdam Open Air and Nassau Festival.
