Helsloot Biography

Helsloot (born Thomas Helsloot) is a Dutch-based artist known for his melodic, futuristic, and heavily hip-hop-influenced take on techno and disco. One of Helsloot's initial productions was a draft of "Because You Move Me," which he sent to his producer friends, Tinlicker. The track was subsequently released by Armada and has garnered over 450 million streams. It achieved platinum status in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as gold status in France and the Netherlands. This success provided Helsloot with the opportunity to step into the spotlight as a DJ and refine his sets with his own productions. His work has been signed by labels such as Get Physical, Domino Records, This Never Happened, Ritter Butzke, and Anjunadeep. With notable tracks like "Open The Gate" and "Let’s Pretend," which is also the namesake of his own club night in Amsterdam, Helsloot's career has soared, leading to numerous gigs in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Istanbul and Sao Paulo. Currently, Helsloot is diligently working on his debut album, slated for release in 2024.
