About this concert
LISA LISA IN CONCERT Freestyle icon Lisa Lisa always brings the dance party on her fun-loving live tours, delivering decade-spanning sets of her funky hits to nostalgic fans. Body-rocking jams like I Wonder If I Take You Home and Head to Toe sound as fresh today as they did in the 80s, and Lisa Lisas spunky energy and groove sense remain as infectious as ever. Whether she is throwing it back with 80s freestyle favorites or busting out recent material like her 2009 collaboration with Pitbull, Lisa Lisa is a top-drawer performer whose beat-heavy shows always take fans on a dance-worthy journey down memory lane. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam were one of the first acts to break out of NYCs nascent freestyle scene in the mid-80s. New York-born Lisa Lisa, aka Lisa Velez, is of Puerto Rican descent, and grew up surrounded by both Latin music and urban contemporary styles in the citys multicultural mix.

Montell Jordan Biography

Montell Du'Sean Jordan (born December 3, 1968 in Los Angeles, California) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. Jordan was the first R&B artist signed to the Def Jam label, and became the main male artist on its Def Soul imprint until leaving the label in 2003.

Jordan's first single was the 1995 #1 hit single "This Is How We Do It", and defined his hip hop soul musical style. "This Is How We Do It" and its follow-up, "Somethin' 4 Da Honeyz", show a strong hip hop influence, and Jordan's material fit alongside the rest of Def Jam's output. Future hits would include "Let's Ride" with Master P in 1998 and "Get It on Tonite" in late-1999.

Besides crafting his own material, Jordan has written and produced for a number of outside artists, including Christina Milian, 98 Degrees, Deborah Cox ("Nobody's Supposed to Be Here", 1998), and Sisqó (the number-one hit "Incomplete", 2000). The singer has had cameo roles in the films "The Fighting Temptations" and "The Nutty Professor."

Jordan left Def Soul in 2003 and released the album "Life After Def" on Koch Records.

Jordan is set to release his 7th project - "Let It Rain" - on October 21, 2008.
