About this concert
The Blue Ridge Mountains Wine and Jazz is a regional attraction and through its public, corporate, private and charitable partnerships presents an annual concert of jazz music aimed at keeping this uniquely American music form vibrant with a variety of Jazz styles, a diverse list of wines from local wineries as well as an international al selection, delicious food, and many arts and crafts on display, it promises to be a very special event.
Through the joint efforts of our partners, the festival will not only be a celebration of the musical, enological (science of wine and winemaking), visual, and culinary arts but also will help raise money for student programs in jazz music and education.
We hope to bring public awareness of the Blue Ridge area as a performing arts-centered community and provide entertainment for the growing permanent and seasonal population while featuring hot jazz, great wines, fine art, delicious cuisine, and many outdoor activities all in one great place.

Walter entered the world of international smooth Jazz with the infectious, cleverly titled debut single “Ain’t No Sushi When She’s Gone”
Produced by grammy nominated producer and keyboardist
NATE HARASIM.
Accompanied by by guitar legend NILS and Sax great PHIL DENNY, ‘ sushi’ earned spins on Smoothjazz.com and made the Smoothjazz.net Top 100 chart.
Following his move to Sunny Tampa Bay, Florida, Walter again impacted the genre with “She Fire” (from his 2022 EP Jazz By The Sea).
His 2023 follow-up release “Surrounded by Love,”featuring smooth jazz great MARION MEADOWS on sax remained on the Smoothjazz top 100 chart for over 15 weeks.
Testament to his string of successes and the high regard he is held in by the smooth jazz elite, his powerhouse, high energy latest single “Absolute Love” was produced by #1 charting guitarist NILS and features NILS, multiple Grammy nominated saxophonist GERALD ALBRIGHT, renowned jazz fusion pianist/keyboardist MITCHEL FORMAN and bass legend
