Stefan Grasse Biography
Stefan Grasse is an acoustic/classical guitarist and composer, based in Germany.
His latest album 'Inner Sound' builds on earlier successes 'Ripples' and 'Guitar Phases' and expands the warm, natural sound of his instrument with echoes and other effects.
"With Inner Sound, I wanted to open a new chapter and tell stories that touched and fascinated me. Inner Sound is a story of transition, of the metamorphosis that life brings. At the same time, it is also a longing to find a point of calm in the fragile reality of life. It is an attempt to face up to life, nature and transience. Past, present and future come together to form my new inner sound.”
Stefan Grasse
Stefan Grasse studied jazz and classical guitar in Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg and Glasgow.
He has been awarded the Royal Scottish Academy’s „Guitar Challenge Prize 1991“, the „Scottish Society of Composers’ Award 1991“ and Cultural Awards of the City of Nuremberg 1996, the Kulturforum Franken 2004 and the Regional District of Middle Franconia 2018, Germany.
He has given over 3,000 concerts in Europe, Argentina, Australia, China, Turkey and the USA.
Since 1993 Stefan Grasse has released 21 albums under his own name.
