Paula Noel

Paula Noel is an independent three-piece band based in Stockholm, Sweden. Their music blends an alternative and diverse collage of global sounds with equal components of Jazz, Soul, Pop and Deep Electronica. Consisting of band members Paula Burenstrand (vocal), Roberto Noel (guitar) and Marque Gilmore (“Acousti-Lectric Drumz”), the members hail from Sweden, Peru and USA respectively.
With their eclectic approach, spanning a wide range of musical genres and vibes, A&R legend Eric McLellan (Sire/Warner’s Bros. Records) described the group as having “a really cool and sensual groove, vocal is powerful”..

The Band:
ROBERTO NOEL is an immensely creative guitarist and composer with a unique, richly eclectic and multi-dimensional personal musical voice ~ pairing with composer-vocalist and producer PAULA BURENSTRAND in 2008. A strong expression of her lyrics, a playfulness with her voice and a depth of connection with her audience through movement and musical dialogue, reflect her artistry and creative commitment.

During the summer 2020, Paula and Roberto connected with MARQUE GILMORE, a drummer with a worldwide reputation, knowing that a potential collaboration must be developed. As a musician, producer, composer and pioneer of live 'Breakbeat' music, Marque Gilmore has worked with artists in a myriad of different genres: from R&B, underground dance & electronica artists to African music masters, Bengali Sufi singers, Indian classical artists, Rock icons and Jazz legends: Joe Zawinul, Omar Sosa, Sting, and Oumou Sangare to name but a few.

As a trio, Paula Noel has been busy conceptualizing stories, composing new music, experimenting with analog mastering and recording live performances complete with interactive visuals, specialized lighting and effects.
The trio is now planning a series of singles and remixes of their new concept for release during 2021 with upcoming tour dates to be announced for 2021/22.

The individual members of PAULA NOEL have always been involved in cutting-edge and future thinking projects, preserving their love of classic musical styles and traditions, while reaching into the future to create new partnerships and help develop the talents and art of young people with music lessons, access to their studio facilities and with creative arts funding and multi-media projects centered in Justice, The Climate and Human Rights.
