BASH! Biography
We are an independent Alt-Pop trio from Bedfordshire, formed of Amanda Bashmakova (Vocals), Joe Burgess (Guitar) and Angus McIntyre (Drums). We have been making music together since 2018 and are ready to strike out with our brand of fuzzy, flirty and fierce alt-pop.
‘Captain Sensible’ first single from our recently released, independently produced EP, After My Happy Ever After, caught the attention of Tom Robinson and was featured on the BBC Introducing Mixtape on Radio 6. The track also landed a spot on Spotify's Student’s Union playlist. Building on this success, our previous singles have been included in prominent Spotify playlists such as Student’s Union and New Pop UK. Our debut 2021 EP, Pop In The Key of Love, received acclaim from NME, BBC Introducing, and even made its way onto Made in Chelsea.
Our songs are fuelled by such musical influences as St.Vincent, Viagra Boys, Gwen Stefani and Britney Spears.
“This is high praise, but Bash! are one of the best bands in London right now”. - Lucy Harbour (Far Out, 2024)
