The GOLD DINAR are not just a duo of of two people who came together to make music. The GOLD DINAR are a loving couple who came together to LIVE MUSIC! GeminiiDRAGON and Christian Simeon are a double force that has been set loose not only on the music world BUT the world in general. Their unique take on music is all centered around their individual influences that are broad as the universe is vast YET they are synced by a calling that is much deeper than the notes they release to the world as songs. They have two distinctively different paths to what we now know as The GOLD DINAR. GeminiDRAGON's journey has been from the deep South of Louisiana. Where she grew up in a home full of music from Motown to Jim Hendrix. Music was a part of her defining of self and who she would become. She has spread her wings to make her own mark in music with an eclectic sound steeped in the blurred lines of Blues and Rock well … BLUES ROCK (her infatuation with Jimi Hendrix was crucial to her development) She has released a slew of singles, EP's and Full Albums that document her eclectic talents and her super powerful voice. Christian Simeon on the other hand got the Rock N Roll bug from the dynamic hardcore juggernaut that was known as the BAD BRAINS (see NO PUN intended to their guitarist Dr. Know).It was this and the thriving Minneapolis, MN music scene and the sounds of The Replacements, Husker DU, Babes In Toyland and the Peter Jesperson created label Twin/Tone Records that set Christian's sonic landscape in motion. But it was his uber super crush on British bands from the hugely influential label 4AD that set him on his course of musical matrimony.

The GOLD DINAR are here with their full length album The Nightingale Floors. And it is a beautiful record full of twists and turns and everything in between. They have found a way to pass all their mutual influences into the songs that make up this collection. The album starts with the anthem drivensong BELIVE IN LOVE. The overwhelmingly huge chorus and catchy lyrics seem to be a mainstay throughout the collections 10 tracks. The next track OUT THERE seems to follow in the same mold as the earlier continuing the large anthem based hook and vocals that are easy on the ears and heavy on the feet. It would seem that BIG guitars and keeping you moving on the floor at their shows is a high priority. The 3rd Track PSYCHO BABBLE ventures into the weirdly pop-esque territory but not that. “We just wanted to make a record that gave the listener an experience that headphones could handle, we dont want to stress our the lot with song after song of overly biographical blahhhh.” says GeminiiDRAGON The tunes NOVOCAINE and BRIGHT LIGHTS keep up the Stadium sounds that are a mainstay on this record. “We wanted to swing for the fences with this record, ya know show the world that people that look like us can make big records like U2 and COLDPLAY as well! Says Christian The record does just that in it's entirety. BATTLE SCARS, WATERFALLS and FRANKENSTEIN all have their sounds nestled in the HUGE and Big Audience experience. One song THE RETRIING SEA HAGS is the lone art rock track on the album of sorts with it's quirky nuances and guitars weaving about. The album swans off with the acoustic solo tune by GeminiiDRAGON LIFELINE. One word can sum it up POWERFUL. This record was made for the dramatic and the LOVING! It is worth a million listens!
