About this concert
London Prog Gigs are pleased to present a very special Sunday lunchtime & afternoon double-header album launch live music event at the intimate Camden Club in London. Releasing Spring 2025, award-winning prog/alt-rock band HATS OFF GENTLEMEN IT?S ADEQUATE?s 8th album 'The Uncertainty Principle' explores the idea of uncertainty. Until the development of quantum physics, science seemed to provide an ever more precise description of our world. With better equipment, our understanding increased. The closer we looked, the more certain we could be of the reality underlying our observations. Heisenberg?s 1927 uncertainty principle overturned that perception. He showed that for the smallest objects we can detect, increasing the knowledge of one aspect of the particle decreases our knowledge of another. This was most famously demonstrated for position and momentum. Although the uncertainty principle was discovered in relation to quite technical aspects relating to measurements of subatomic particles, I think it was part of an uncertainty revolution in human thought. We fundamentally cannot be certain about some aspects of the world around us. As physicists were overturning our assumptions about the nature of matter, Kurt Gödel showed in 1931 that any system of mathematics must have limitations. Psychology showed that our memories and self-perceptions can be wildly inaccurate. And the history of the 20th century is a testament to the dangers of trusting those who are blinded by certainty ? Malcolm Galloway/Hat?s Off Gentlemen It?s Adequate ?Spiky neo-prog and art-rock. Never less than entertaining, passionate, humorous and committed? ? Prog Magazine Known for their theatrical, high-energy performances, huge sound and singalong hooks, GHOST OF THE MACHINE?s eagerly awaited second album ?Empires Must Fall? explores the difference between justice and consequences. Releasing worldwide on 7th March 2025 through American label ProgRock.com?s Essentials, it blends their signature melodic bombast with dense and dark arrangements, first heard on the explosive lead single ?The One?. The band will be making their first ever appearance in London, so don't miss this opportunity to see the band and hear songs from the new album performed live in the capital! ?One of the best live bands of the current scene? - Jerry Ewing/PROG Magazine THE CAMDEN CLUB is one of London's newest and most exciting venues (opposite The Roundhouse in Camden/Chalk Farm). Cabaret-style seating with gourmet 'Burger Bites' table service - please support the venue by buying food and drinks as this keeps venue hire prices down, enabling bands to play here. Tables are unreserved; get here early for the best in the house! Entrance is via a flight of steps up from street level and then a flight of steps down to floor level. Please contact the organisers if you need to use the accessible (step-free) entrance.

Ghost of the Machine Biography

Described as “one of the best live bands of the current scene” (Jerry Ewing - Prog issue 152), Ghost Of The Machine was formed when five former members of This Winter Machine joined forces with vocalist Charlie Bramald (Age Of Distraction, Nine Skies). Blending memorable, melodic hooks with long-form songwriting and a fresh and bombastic sound, the band's influences range from Marillion and Genesis to Rush, Dream Theater and even new-wave stalwarts such as Gary Numan and Ultravox. Their award winning debut album 'Scissorgames' released in 2022, and the follow up 'Empires Must Fall' releases through ProgRock.com's Essentials label on 7th March 2025. Ghost Of The Machine's stage shows are renowned for infusing songs from the records with a huge and highly theatrical performance.
