We return to the Epiphany Catacombs for an evening of deep and dusty, smoked-out dance floor grooves. To commemorate the occasion, Lake Effect resident Thysbe will be performing a special live set. We have invited some of our favorite Midwestern artists to join the night. Wicker’s Portal and Relativity Lounge will be collaborating on a joint live set. And, to top off the night, we are ecstatic to have a Chicago underground staple: Flower Food. I Dreamt of You A Thousand Times is a dub techno head bobber. The intention for the evening will be deep, dubby and groovy. Expect each artist to offer their unique take on introspective head-nod tracks. Flower Flood Flower Food has become a proper force in the Chicago underground scene. She has built up an impressive resume of radio shows, underground DIY events, club shows and even festivals. We met Emma on some of the best underground dance floors in Chicago. She has a deep passion for dance music that is exemplified by her battle tested DJ skills and refined music taste. We cannot wait to hear her take on the evening. Thysbe Lake Effect’s Thysbe is our newest resident. After programming the underground music festival Driftmore, they recently moved to Chicago from Madison. Thysbe is a fine purveyor of deep, left-field electronic music. Lukas’ sets can cover a wide range of genres held together by a thread that is distinctly their own. For this evening, Thysbe will be performing a live set. While debuting new songs from the upcoming release, there will be a host of new tracks written for the event. Wicker’s Portal x Relativity Lounge Wicker’s Portal teams up with Lake Effect don Relativity Lounge to perform a collaborative live set. Relativity Lounge needs no introduction to fans of Lake Effect. He is a prolific producer and talented dj. Wicker’s Portal holds a special place in the Midwest bass music/midtempo scene as one of the only artists primarily performing live sets. His sound is squiggly, deep and head bop inducing. Their joining of forces is sure to be a special moment in Lake Effect history
