Kevin Sullivan Biography
From forensic police crime scene investigator to award-winning singer-songwriter, Kevin Sullivan has made his mark on the Australian Country music scene. His latest ARIA charting album THREEWAYS, number 1 for 2 weeks and has stayed in the top 8 for 10 weeks!
Kevin Sullivan is the leader of The Sulli-Vans, who won the hearts of all Australians when they appeared on The Voice Generations, after having spent the last 2 years travelling our beautiful country and performing over 270 shows, in regional and remote communities and at major Festivals in their sponsored Sunland Sulli-Van Caravan. The Sulli-Vans, led by Award winning Country Singer Songwriter Kevin Sullivan (dad) the group consists of children, KJ (son 13 yrs) Cha Cha (daughter 11 yrs) and Jet (son 7 yrs).
The Sulli-Vans enchant audiences with their soulful harmonies across both their original music and unique versions of much-loved Australian classics, country music and contemporary hits. Kevin Sullivan is a talented storyteller, engaging you from the very first note, as you are transported by his stories and unique sound, with the infusion of saxophone, clarinet and trumpet. In Kevin’s music you’ll hear influences of Paul Kelly, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen and yet he has a style and sound all his own, that connects with your heart and spirit. Kevin has released two studio Albums, with his 3rd Album due for release in June 2024 and cowritten autobiography due for release in 2025.
“The Sulli-Vans” album – featuring unique versions of the songs they perform on tour including much-loved Australian classics, country music and contemporary hits; Some of the highlights from the 14-track album include: ‘Down Under’ (Men At Work), ‘Coat Of Many Colours’ (Dolly Parton), ‘Sounds Of Then (This Is Australia)’ (Gang Gajang) and ‘The Two Of Us’ (Birds Of Tokyo). “The Sulli-Vans” album was added to the family’s schedule after they were inundated with requests for recorded music after each live show.
Kevin also co-hosts a monthly country music segment on ABC Illawarra with Nick Rheinberger. He is also an Ambassador for The Children’s Tumour Foundation and Sunland Caravans.
