electric eye Biography
Electric Eye is a psychedelic rock band from Bergen, Norway, known for their fusion of cosmic improvisation, experimental jazz, and hypnotic rock. Since their formation, the band—comprised of Øystein Braut (guitar/vocals), Njål Clementsen (bass), Anders Bjelland (synth), and Øyvind Hegg-Lunde (drums)—has carved out a unique sonic identity, drawing listeners into expansive soundscapes that merge atmospheric textures with dynamic rhythms.
Electric Eye’s fifth album, Dyp Tid (2024), is a captivating studio adaptation of a live piece originally performed at Sildajazz 2022 in Skåre Kirke, Haugesund. The work explores the concept of “deep time” with an innovative sound that marries organ, synth, and choral vocals, inviting listeners to journey through ambient minimalism, psychedelic jazz, and progressive rock. Released on Fuzz Club Records, Dyp Tid marks a milestone for the band, pushing the boundaries of their genre-blending style.
Singles from Dyp Tid include "Mycelium," a 15-minute immersive piece that reflects the organic rhythms of nature, and "Hvit Lotus," which showcases their signature blend of space and melody. Electric Eye continues to captivate audiences both in Norway and internationally, known for their immersive live shows and explorative approach to music that resonates deeply with fans of experimental and psychedelic rock.
