James Coates, born to be an entertainer... found himself in an under-attended bar a day after New Year's day 2025. Not a surprise that the Thursday night patronage was slim in that case. However, in true showmanship, James introduced himself, his songs, his covers, and played with the vim & vigor of a man facing a standing room only crowd. I feel privileged to have moments like that, where the entertainer truly has the opportunity to do whatever they want... and then they do it precisely, professionally, and appeal to the crowd (of i to 10 patrons) with a purpose and passion that lets you know they care that you're there
