De Belgische Nederlander Joost Zweegers, beter bekend als Novastar, is een van de sterkste singer-songwriters van de lage landen. Zijn zelfgetitelde debuutalbum uit 2000 leverde melodieuze poprockklassiekers op als Wrong en The Best Is Yet To Come, opvolger Another Lonely Soul (2004) bevatte het wondermooie Never Back Down. Met inmiddels zes albums op zijn naam vond Zweegers dat het tijd werd voor een speciale best-of: begin dit jaar verscheen het album The Best Is Yet To Come, waarop hij tien van Novastars beste nummers opnieuw heeft opgenomen in de Abbey Road-studio’s!

Novastar Biography
Joost Zweegers understands how to write the perfect song. The Dutch-born singer-songwriter is the author of many iconic Belpop classics. Songs like Mars Needs Woman, Because, Cruel Heart, Lost & Blown Away, The Best is Yet to Come and Wrong quickly became part of our musical heritage.
After winning Humo’s Rock Rally in 1996, the debut album Novastar was released in 2000. Since then Novastar has written 5 other albums, including Another Lonely Soul (2004), Almost Bangor (2008) and Inside Outside (2014), In The Cold Light of Monday (2018) & Holler and Shout (2021).
Novastar has announced the release of a new album 'The Best Is Yet To Come'; a unique collection with new versions of his biggest hits and one brand new song. The album is scheduled for release on February 16, 2024, and a tour will be launched in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
