Disposed Biography
Disposed is a pop-punk band from various parts of Colorado and began in October 2010. The band started off with Sam Rucker, Spencer Lovell, and Jordan Bettner playing covers for fun and developed into a serious project after the composition of their first song Better Off in December. The band spent 2011 writing material, recording two 3-song demos, and played their first show. In March of 2012 the band began recording their first, self-titled album. Spencer moved to California in the summer so the band searched for a new live bassist. On November 1st 2012 both Digital and Physical versions of the bands first and self-titled album, 'Disposed' were released. Sam and Jordan began recording their second album 'Innovated For Your Entertainment' in January of 2013 and played a few shows around that time to test new songs live with a couple of fill-in bassists, most notably Jesse Edwardson. Spencer made his return during the summer to help finish the second album and Jesse played guitar and keyboards with us for the later half of the year. Innovated For Your Entertainment was released December 1st. The band reverted back to a 3-piece in 2014 playing several shows, most often at DIY venue 7th Circle, and writing lots and lots of new songs. The band decided to release a few new songs as well as a couple re-recorded older songs on a free EP, to give people something new, while preparing to record a double-album. On November 1st Disposed played their last show with Spencer. Justin Cantrell joined soon after becoming the bands current bassist. Disposed began 2015 recording two new albums, Soaring Above and Plunging Below, that were released together on June 1st digitally. On November 15th Stephen Glover joined the band as a second guitarist. 2016 was spent writing a lot of material, but had little live presence due to busy, conflicting schedules, and moves. A batch of songs ended up being recorded that winter, but was quickly followed by a hiatus from March-August 2017. The bands 5th album, Oxymoronic was mixed and released digitally in September. The band is currently working on adding an additional member, rehearsing for shows, and of course writing many songs.
