Andy Davis Biography
Louisiana-born Andy Davis broke onto the scene way back in 2004 with a charming, acoustic debut called “Thinks of Her,” that quickly spread among college campuses nationwide.
Based in Nashville, TN then, Davis starting touring full-time, sharing the stage with artists such as Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz, Jon McLaughlin, Jakob Dylan, Colbie Caillat, needtobreathe, Marc Broussard and more, collecting fans one city at a time.
Since then, Davis has released six studio albums, including two produced by Mitchell Froom (Randy Newman, Sheryl Crow, Tom Waits), one of which was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $40,000 in 30 days.
Davis was also a founding member of Nashville’s “Ten Out of Tenn” — a critically-acclaimed collective of singer/songwriters (including Katie Herzig, Griffin House, Andrew Belle, K.S. Rhoads, etc) who joined forces in super-band fashion for a collaborative tour, documented in the award-winning PBS film, “Any Day Now.”
In 2018, Davis, based in Los Angeles at the time, launched a project called “Save the Song Fairies,” where he wrote and recorded 52 songs in 52 weeks, releasing them exclusively on Patreon. In 2019, he went on to start an online creative community called FINISHIT (www.finishit.club) where members commit to their own year-long creative challenges and share their work each week for accountability and encouragement.
In the summer of 2020, Davis purchased an RV and traveled around the country, playing small backyard concerts and producing music remotely, eventually landing in Austin, TX, where he has been living and writing towards his next project.
A multi-instrumentalist with old-school charm and a pulse for the often irregular heartbeat of human relationships, Andy Davis continues to engage longtime fans and win new ones.
