Koosje is een Nederlandse singer-songwriter met een voorliefde voor neo-soul, folk-jazz, r&b en volle harmonieën. De ex-conservatorium studente bracht in februari 2023 haar debuutalbum ‘It’s Time’ uit met maar liefst zestien nummers die werden geprezen door onder meer Gregory Porter en David Crosby. Met features van Ruben Hein, João Erbetta, Artvark en Woodcraft boven op de hemelse vocalen van Koosje straalt het talent van haar debuutwerk af. In mei komt Koosje’s tweede album ‘ One More’ uit. Volgens de zangeres is de plaat een ode aan het avontuur van het leven. Op 10 mei zal ze de plaat voor het eerst live laten horen tijdens haar album release concert in Bitterzoet.

Koosje Biography
Koosje is a singer-songwriter from the Netherlands. She emphasizes neo-soul, folk influences, r&b riffs as well as lush jazz harmonies and vocal freedom.
Koosje was born in a theatrical family.
She was only 11 years old when she started off with acting lessons and she participated in plays, operas and musicals when she was barely 14. She performed with artists like Steve Reich & Gwilym Simcock. She ended up at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and graduated in 2016 receiving a 10 (with distinction) for her final singing exam. She went viral through Instagram feed @theyhavetherange, was the supporting act of Poppy Ajudha, Robin Thicke reposted her and artists like Teddy Swims, Gregory Porter, Lalah Hathaway & David Crosby are fans and want(ed) to sing with her!
She released her debut album in 2023 at TivoliVredenburg with Artvark & Ruben Hein with 16 songs and she toured in 2024 where she played at Paradiso amongst other stages. Koosje will release her second album ‘One More’ on 9 may and her release show will be in Bitterzoet (Amsterdam) on 10 may. Stay tuned!
