He has released over 20 albums as a solo artist or with American Music Club on such labels as decor, Merge, Warners, Virgin, Grifter/Frontier, Matador, New West and toured the world. Rolling Stone gave him their songwriter of the year award, The Guardian said he is the greatest lyricist in the world. He is currently working his new album and a bright and hopeful future.
