Based in berlin, but never feeling anywhere at home, the artistic influence and inspiration of projektbau has never been a particular local scene. Growing up as a nerd in a small town, the real community has always been digital and decentralized.
Being influenced by and producing vastly different genres over the years, projektbau seeks to find a coherent but unique sound to tell personal stories authentically, without forcing the listener to feel a certain way.
Building on the emotional dance music of artists such as Burial and Overmono, projektbau offers a nostalgic and introspective take on music that can only be enjoyed after 2am.
