Wicked performance with a mix of well known and tracks from the excellent new album. The sound they create live is mesmerising and the interplay with the audience made this a gig to remember. Well done to Ben @waxandbeans ,Bury for helping get this gig set up.

Apollo Junction Biography
Apollo Junction’s songs capture the euphoria of electro-dance music mixing with strong guitar hooks, driving bass and passionate vocals. From New Order through Giorgio Moroder, to The Cure, The Charlatans and Daft Punk, Apollo Junction use their influences to write insanely memorable, hugely uplifting tunes. These five school mates from Leeds have caught the attention of everyone from Radio DJs to the national press to film directors and TV producers. With their big hearted indie pop electronica they are poised to deliver a debut album this year, and a fistful of singles to whet the appetite. Apollo Junction spent 2016 putting demos and videos out into the webosphere, and in doing so gathered plaudits far and wide. Their songs ‘If I Fell’, This Could Be The Day’ and ‘Born For Now’ were described by Little Indie Blogs as “pop masterpieces”. Playing ‘live’ they perform electro, indie, guitar-inspired songs infused with tuneful melodies with a mission to get audiences dancing. The recent publishing deal with Wipeout Music (Coquin Migale/Sleaford Mods/Stone Foundation) has led to Apollo Junction songs featuring on MTV’s U.S. hit reality show ‘Are You The One’ and in the upcoming movie ‘The Big Promise’ directed by award winning Mexican director J R Suarez. They’ve also had plays on Good Morning TV and BBC Look North. “Great Band” Janice Long BBC Radio 2 “Tightly executed britpop from this Leeds band” - “Magnificent” – The Sun “It’s always a good sign when you feel you know the chorus after hearing a song for the first time” Steve Lamacq BBC6 Music Melodic, Piano-led soul-bearer from the Leeds Indie outfit” The Times “When the first track you hear by a band is a huge anthem, you know they’re something special!” Chris Hawkins BBC6 music “Candid, emotive vocals and grandiose production bring Biffy Clyro to mind on this big-hearted indie-pop track from the Leeds newcomers” The Sun ‘Hot Tracks of the week’ ”These guys are very handsome and their music is tremendous” Graham Norton BBC Radio 2 Consistent gigging through 2017 has led to a strong ‘live’ following, and the band were described as ‘The best new band we have had in years!’ when they played the Dublin Castle recently. This fan-base, radio play and critical acclaim also helped them play a series of festivals including the Main Stage at Bingley Music Live, and the Hard Rock stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. They’ve supported Shed Seven, Cast, James, The Beat and Sex Pissed Dolls, winning over every crowd, and have a string of festivals already lined up for 2018. An indie, electro band played on BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, Radio X, Virgin Radio, BBC Radio 2. Danced to, and with, in clubs and fields all over.
