The show was excellent. His voice, while not equal his voice in the early 70's was very good for a 77 year old. There was no opening act and the show started at exactly 7pm. His band were very good as well. I'd highly recommend seeing the tour as it could be your last chance to see him

Burton Cummings Biography

Britain had Eric Burdon, America had John Fogerty, and Canada had Burton Cummings, the unmistakable voice of the original The Guess Who’s classic hits. Cummings' powerhouse pipes became the driving force of the group. With Cummings at the helm as lead singer and principal songwriter with the original The Guess Who, Burton recorded and wrote/co-wrote hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Albert Flasher”, “Star Baby”, “Clap for The Wolfman,” and “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature”. In the fall of 1975, ten years after joining the Guess Who, the band broke up and Burton Cummings moved on to pursue a long-anticipated solo career. As a solo artist, he leaves his mark with the poignant “Stand Tall,” “I’m Scared,” “You Saved My Soul,” and his signature “My Own Way to Rock”.

With the original The Guess Who, Burton earned recognition for the first U.S. platinum album by a Canadian artist and, as a solo artist, the first quadruple platinum Canadian-produced album. Burton is honoured to have received, in total, 80 platinum and gold record awards.

Burton Cummings remains at the top of his game as an unrivalled singer, songwriter, showman, and recording artist. Described as Canadian rock ‘n’ roll royalty, a national treasure, and a living legend, for Burton Cummings there has always been one constant: he remains true to himself and his own way to rock…and continues to perform the songs the way they were originally conceived by the artist who sang and wrote/co-wrote them.
