BAZOOKA, the psychedelic punk rock juggernaut from Athens, Greece formed in 2008, and have since toured Europe four times over with an additional 2013 American tour. Together with fellow countrymen GAY ANNIVERSARY and ACID BABY JESUS, they are a part of a rising Greek psych, punk and garage scene making waves on international shores. BAZOOKA’S debut LP was released in 2013 on Slovenly Recordings, following 7inch EP’s on Inch Allah (“Shame Take My Brain”) and Slovenly (“I Want To Fuck All The Girls In My School”) - all receiving great acclaim in global underground press. The catchy twin guitar / twin drum / singular bass cacophony by Xanthos, Billy, Aris, John & Panos collide to form an exploding and REAL rock’n’roll experience. Bulldozing over a breadth of classic influences, BAZOOKA embodies everything a band should be: motivated, uncompromising and lethal. Lately they tend to write songs sung entirely in Greek, returning to their Mediterranean roots & with an even more distinctive sound than displayed on previous efforts.
