The album hit #10 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart, #24 for 2020 on the Roots Music Report Top Contemporary Blues Album Chart, “Rise Up” was named top song of 2020 in the Ben Vee Roadhouse 66 top songs of 2020, “Come and Get This Love” won top honors in the Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition and in the International Songwriting Competition, Avey Grouws band was nominated for the 2020 BBMAs for Debut Album New Artist and was nominated for 4 awards in the 2021 Independent Blues Awards, including Best New Artist, Best New Artist Album. http://www.mypoliticmusic.com/ https://youtu.be/oB1L_FZlMb0 My Politic is a Folk/Americana duo based in Nashville TN. Kaston Guffey and Nick Pankey grew up together in Ozark MO and started My Politic around the age of 15. Kaston writes character driven story songs and Nick adds sibling-like harmony to create a unique sound that is totally their own. Inspired by artists like John Prine, Woody Guthrie, Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin, Nina Simone, Simon & Garfunkel classic country and so much else, My Politic has recorded 9 albums to date and have released 3 of those since moving to Nashville 7 years ago. "Anchor" (2015) "12 Kinds of Lost" (2017) and The band's latest effort, "Short-Sighted People In Power" (released 10/30/2020) which is a collection of songs written and recorded between March and August of 2020 hyper-focused on politics & current affairs. The album has been featured 3 times in American Songwriter. They've also had the pleasure of appearing at Americanafest and multiple times at The Bluebird since moving to Nashville. My Politic has been all over the country for years thriving in intimate house concerts settings,listening rooms, dive bars and everywhere in between. My Politic is unique mid-western storytelling in harmony.

Roots Rock group Avey Grouws Band blends blues, roots, rock and soul as powerfully as the Mississippi River runs through their home in the Quad Cities of Iowa & Illinois. Led by powerhouse vocalist Jeni Grouws and ace guitar man Chris Avey, the two-time top ten Billboard charting band are known for their gritty sound and enthusiastic shows. Sophomore album, "Tell Tale Heart", was recorded in Nashville, TN with Grammy award winner, Casey Wasner (Keb' Mo', Taj Mahal). Released September 2021, "Tell Tale Heart" debuted #7 on the Billboard Blues Album chart. Avey Grouws Band also hit #10 on the Billboard charts with their 2020 debut album, "The Devil May Care". In 2023, Avey Grouws Band set off on tours to Florida, the East Coast, the Midwest including Kansas City and Topeka, and then to Las Vegas to play the iconic Big Blues Bender with greats Keb’ Mo’, Shemekia Copeland, Danielle Nicole, Tab Benoit and more.
